Joe Rogan claims to have witnessed the best one punch knockout in Mixed Martial Arts and UFC history; ProFightNetwork compares it to Rocky IV
“That is the craziest thing in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) after ten years of calling fights” shouted Joe Rogan. After Duffee showcased a boxing clinic for two rounds he began to gas, Russow saw a window.
After Mike Russow came back and KO’s Todd Duffee, the MMA fans across America were probably as shocked as Joe. The staff at MMABAY Radio and ProFightetwork (www.ProfightNetwork.com} were on hand live at the UFC and International Journalism Review (IJR) was able to catch Chris Greenman, President and CEO of Pro Fight Network, immediately after the fight.
Greenman told us, “Wow that was crazy, a Draco look alike (from the movie Rocky iIV) in Duffee dominated a chubby former NCAA wrestler for two solid rounds. Lee Honish and I both noticed that all his muscles were wearing him down and he was gasping for air, and we thought possibility his youth was being portrayed. Next thing you know, Duffee falls like giant Redwood tree.”
“Although these days nothing surprises me in MMA, I mean Jason Britz gets robbed which never use to happen in this sport and then Draco drops, what is next? In all seriousness, the amount of fire power Duffee appeared to have did not faze Russow, which makes you wonder how hard he hits or how well Russow can take a punch. Well nothing really matters other then apparently Russow is tougher then nails and he definitely hits hard, even if it takes him three rounds to get going and looks like he needs me to train him.”
IJR noted a great UFC event, and observed a controversial decision awarded to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira over Jason Britz. However, Melvin Guillard continued to show improvement and a legitimate contender as he knockouted Waylon Lowe.
Other fights included John Hathaway defeating Deigo Sanchez, Dong Hyon Kim defeating Amir Sadollah, Efrain Escudero defeating Dan Lauzon, and Michael Bisping getting wins all by decision.
