This comes up a bunch, tell me what you all think. Oh, and offer an educated solution or opinion that I can respond to

That is a good link! I mean very helpful..sometimes over training can be very consuming and it can mean a defeat too inside the ring..so its best that when training its just the prescribe hours or something to that effect...do you anything about this training program ?

The way to not over train is to find your ideal training size and conditioning while being safe. You di this by getting blood panels

If anyone's other goal is not to over train, then he or she should be able to watch his/her time strictly. There should be a specific time table or even a specific length of time for your training no matte what kind of training you're doing.

I agree with Melony and Kimchoo. You need to set a limit on your training and observe a strict schedule when doing your training.

The way not to over train is to listen to the condition of your body so that you will know the status of your condition, how well you trained for the game and how much have you given your best in your training.

That part of the interview cracked me up. Randy's got a way of making things very simple.

Those are good advice. Following proper training schedules will prevent us from over training. Discipline is the rule in training.

I agree with mariel .... limiting yourself is key ... and also giving your body time to recover ... not having rest days will cause more damage in some cases !

Yeah that's right discipline is the most important thing to maintain in preparing for a training because without this your training will not be effective.

Having a discipline to oneself, plays a very important role with this. You should really know your strengths and weaknesses before engaging yourself to your training. Because there's always such thing as limitation.

sounds good ... would you recommend training alternate days ? or training 3-4 days straight then having say 2 days off ?

Anything that is too much is not good already and it includes training. It might be the cause of defeat because the athlete is already too weak for the actual game. The strength might have not been replenished with rest because of continuous training. Look for a suitable program for the athlete to work on.

Everything in this world needs to have a limitation. There are people tend to overtrain themselves so badly, which is not good. They should limit their time and make use of their schedule in a day.

This is true. Did you know that our muscles do not really grow just from exercising but also from resting. Everytime we exercise some of our muscle tissues hurts and once we take a rest they regenerate and even add some more new tissues.

Actually it's the first time that I've heard this one! But I think it makes sense, since I did work out, and my trainer told me that I should do it slowly and the parts of the body that I should enhance should be done alternately, meaning that I should not work out with the same part of the body focus on everyday.
